No Treason

So I watched a bunch of videos on YouTube chronicling the hearings by the US Congress Judicial Committee, aka John Conyers Committee of Cowards and Double Talkers. Seems that they need experts to tell them if someone broke the law, and if breaking the law should be punished.

What exactly are the qualifications to get on a federal judicial committee?

The entire thing is so stupid and assinine. I was drawn to it the same way my father was obsessed with Gulf War I coverage, like watching some sort of sick and pathetic parody that isn’t funny, but addictive and paranoid. Orange Line Mafia gawking.

I don’t know how anyone with any sense of compassion, justice, loyalty, honour, intelligence or other human type emotions couldn’t find the entire thing contrived and disgusting. Grown ass men and women asking how to do the job they were elected to do. Defend the US Constitution, and to uphold the rule of law.

I liked the witnesses, even the slimy neocon professor they snuck in from Northwestern. He slouched and acted like a worm, which was great as he played the Addington/Yoo role of being smug and unresponsive.

Now how any of those elected representatives of the people, in particular Conyers, who has been part of Nancy Pelosi’s obvious usurpation of the oath of office, can leave that hearing not feeling shamed and embarrassed is beyond me.

Of course, I watched to see just how hopeless and depraved the state had become. Not that I didn’t know the charges, the precedents or the case for impeachment, which in fact I have become very familiar with over the last year.

And yet, the state didn’t disappoint, in delivering disappointment. Nothing changes, the culture continues to erode, the laws are now meaningless, and the people enacted to act, are too impotent and spineless to do so.

I tire of saying this, but it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better when the watchmen are being begged by their witnesses to act, and to act quickly on what is undeniable and documented evidence, and the watchmen’s response is to passively sit on their hands and look stupefied. Conyers and his useless cronies don’t even recognize there is a problem, even when it is presented as a steaming turd in front of their noses.
