Burnt Coffee

Burnt coffee makes me angry. Every weekday morning, I purchase Tim Hortons’ coffee. I can tell as soon as I crack the lid whether or not it is burnt. And indeed, this morning’s coffee has been twice roasted. Once before brewing, and regrettably once after.
It’s a waste of a perfectly good coffee. I like mine double double with sweetener instead of sugar. Sugar is “too sweet” for me now, and I think they use Splenda, although if they use the stuff with Aspartame (that causes brain damage), that’s ok too.
An up with a down chaser is a health balanced start to your day.
Or at least, I think that’s something a corporately owned Bukowski might have written.
I’ll be back. After I choke down this bitter sunlight.
